I put a copy of my kernel on the DOS partition, ran fbsdboot, and now have cdplay kicking out Iron Butterfly's "Metamorphosis" album (great album, by the way; their best, IMHO) as I write this. I never would have thought it possible! Now, one more question about this. Is it necessary to reconfig my kernel to account for the fact that it's starting up off of wd0 (DOS drive C:) instead of wd1? I'm noticing that ps, xload, etc. aren't working properly at the moment. If so, any special caveats as far as configuration? Also, although cdplay is working, I'm having no luck as of yet with workman, xmcd, xcd. Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Conrad, nonetheless quite pleased to get any sound at all out of this crummy card :-) -- Conrad Sabatier http://www.neosoft.com/~conrads
