2.2-GAMMA has just been made available.  Once people seem happy with
that, 2.2-RELEASE will be on it's way.

As you suspect, AFAIK, all of the 3.0-current atapi code has been
rolled into 2.2-GAMMA (for the casual observer, Ian's running -current).
