[snippage] It's really a pity that there is in fact no good word processor under GPL. But there is. He just told you above. When I write, I want to see my words. I don't want to be distracted from the content of my words by the question of whether a specific block should stand out from the rest in some way. All of that pretty printing, publishing, layout, I leave for the end; do it once, never to be done again. If there had been one by the time Winword came out, maybe Micro$oft If big software manufacturers would learn to save output in portable formats (sgml?), any editor could be enhanced to do wysiwyg. Well, maybe not vi. :-) If you insist on accepting proprietary binary file formats, expect to be led around by the nose. -- If you form the question carefully, giving enough relevant information, in context and in an intelligible form, a computer will do its level best to give you its best estimate of the answer.
