Hi,

I have a Atlas I 4gig wide drive connected to a adaptec 2940UW controller running
2.1.6.1-RELEASE. I have read the post in this mailing list concerning the full
queue
problem. I use this machine as a www server and have a lot of traffic going to
it. I
have been getting frequent crashes recently. I have trapped the errors leading up
to
the crashes here. Also I don't have the firmware release that was stated in the
message from Justin. I have another drive that has the 912L firmware though. The
drive in question has the following spec.

Feb 10 10:36:26 Tank /kernel: (ahc0:0:0): "QUANTUM XP34300W 589H" type 0 fixed
SCSI 2
                                                            ^^^^ Not 912L?

I just found out from Quantum Tech Support that I can upgrade 589H to 915L using
the same upgrade firmware as 912 -> 915.

Is there a way that I can upgrade this to 912L and then 915L? The firmware upgrade
sez
that the upgrade is only for 912L -> 915L.

Error output:

After these messages it reboots and comes back up.

I would appreciate any kind of assistance with this problem. I am scared it will
eventually become disastrous.

Thanks,
