I love unix too, but you seem to be making an argument for keeping the entire realm of computing into the hands of us priveleged few who know our way around nfs, emacs, gnu, awk, sed, etc... forget it. The world will mow you down, pass you by, leave you for dead, and not shed a tear. There will be no end to this 'bull*'. I am very thankful that I for one am quite comfortable with MFC and Java. Butters my bread.
