Then i tried to build a new Kernel with 'options FIFO'. The kernel runs fine, even with fifos (CnewsXT uses a named pipe). But under X, i have to type the keys very often before an echo come up to the window (the mouse works fine anyway). The Server dies after a few seconds-minutes with an 'unexpected signal 03' as far as i remember. Anyone else noticed that strange problem? -- hell@desert.in-berlin.de (Steffen Hellwig)
