Of course you need those cards. By the way, I wouldn't say they're *very*
expensive. The SMC 21x40 based 2-port cards are about double the cost of
their normal 21x40 based 1-port cards. And the ZNYX 4-port cards are about
four times the cost of a 1-port card. Considering that these cards are sold
in much lower volumes, and that they need something not needed on a 1-port
card (a PCI-PCI bridge), I don't think the cost is unreasonable.
