I have a FreeBSD box in the lab at work, which is used as a mail server etc. For telnet, grabbing mail by POP and so on, it works fine accessing via the dialup service from my flat, _as long as I am not using FreeBSD there_. Every other system (including NetBSD) works like a charm. Logging on to an Alpha at work or whatever, then logging on to my FreeBSD box works. I find this very strange indeed. I'll try the hosts/bind thing tonight and see what happens. -- Neil Clark Transparent Telepresence Group http://telepresence.dmem.strath.ac.uk/nbc
