HP-UX is said to be internal mucho BSD. I haven't seen source code
yet, but what i've seen so far seemed to support this opinion, at
least for the kernel. Most of the userland is SysV, however.

DG/UX was just DG/UX, and nothing else, written from scratch. They
used to have a fine multiprocessor kernel back in days when this
feature has been very rare. They were proud of identifiers like
obtainLockOnSomeObscureResourceAndDontWait() in their kernel source
code :-). DG/UX's version 4.3x userland has been BSD, version 5.4x
userland SVR4.

Never trust an operating system you don't have sources for. ;-)
