I believe the kit can be found for ~$240 and the non-kit for < $200 ($170?). Look in _Computer Shopper_. However, I wouldn't recommend using the MT02 & (Archive 5945C|Wangtek ?) combination found in old Sun shoeboxes. The MT02 is a SCSI<->QIC-36 translator btw. I was using this combination for some time, but found it unreliable. I was using the original 0.1 scsi driver and not Julian's so your milage may vary. >Do the above-mentioned shoeboxes include a hard drive of any kind? >I'm looking at upgrade paths at the moment, and would like to go >to SCSI instead of rll. I'd like that a lot, if it was affordable.... The shoeboxes sometimes contain ESDI drives with an ESDI<->scsi interface (don't recall the board name). I didn't get this combination to work at all. -Dan dmuntz@eecs.umich.edu
