Hmmm, dunno about that.  Certainly, before the end of last year,
the ep driver was still hanging my 3c589 (PCMCIA), and I had a
3c509 in another machine that hung occasionally (quite rare).

Running -current on a new laptop, the zp driver works perfectly,
so if (when I get the pccard stuff up & running) ep is still flakey,
I should be able to figure out what the problem is (for me anyway).

Then again, maybe ep is ok these days.
