1. don't forget to install the secure distribution to get DES passwords,
2. use a script to transform /etc/passwd into a proper /etc/master.passwd
   and run ``pkd_mkdb -p'' on it.

The script itself is 3 lines of awk or Perl and is left to the reader... :-)
