My box had no problems with 2.1.6, but when installing 2.1.7 (even after wipeing
the disk clean and starting fresh) the sysinstall program dumps core at
random points durring the install. I managed to get a basic install done,
but when I went back to install packages the same random core dump problem
came up.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

Also, many, *many* packages listed in the 2.1.7 INDEX are not availible (at
least not off ftp.freebsd.org), and add_pkg exits 2 when installing the
xemacs package (corrupt archive file maybe?)... :(
