I don't think the emulation is much of a problem here. Remember, BSD/OS isn't really emulated at all, they use the same syscall vector as FreeBSD, since it's a 4.4BSD system. The ksh93e suffers from the various idiosyncrasies as Korn shells usually do, but if you're already used to it, it should serve you well.
