I installed ovr anonymous ftp, and I was able to get a network connection just fine the problem is that, when I went through the post install questions I accidently told the it that I wanted the machine to be a gateway. Now I can't use ftp, netscape, lynx, etc.. when I am connected to the net. I try /stand/sysinstall and change the settings in there and it appears to change but when I reboot and go back into /stand/sysinstall none of the config changes I made are shown. I found that the /etc/sysconfig file has the info on network but it seems to not make any different what I do in there and I get a message no saying something like NO not found. Is there another file I need to look at to fix this problem. I am at a loss as to what to do at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ron Wright. p.s. a couple of weeks ago I had everything working o.k. with FreeBSD 2.1.6-RELEASE. I messed something up and decided to reinstall after the news flash about the security issue. That time I didn't pick gateway in post install.
