My system is P-Pro-200, with 128meg RAM. I have 14 SCSI drives on it, with a rough total of 92GB of space. When the fsck (during boot) gets to /dev/rsd11c, it quits: "Cannot allocate memory". Seems like I remember it needed 2meg or so of RAM, and couldn't find any. I have to drop to single-user mode, and manually fsck rsd11c through rsd15c. Needless to say, this is a pain in the butt. Does anyone have any solution to this? Will bumping the memory to 256meg fix this? Here's an edited version of my DASD farm (taken from a df): /dev/sd0s1e 29727 14929 12420 55% /var procfs 4 4 0 100% /proc /dev/sd2c 4068420 3 3742944 0% /dev/sd3c 4068420 3 3742944 0% /dev/sd4c 4068420 3 3742944 0% /dev/sd5c 4067987 3087424 655125 82% /dev/sd6c 3810723 3128990 376876 89% /dev/sd8c 8291791 6399258 1229190 84% /dev/sd9c 8291791 4796291 2832157 63% /dev/sd10c 8291791 5371807 2256641 70% /dev/sd11c 8291791 4881905 2746543 64% /dev/sd12c 8291791 3114597 4513851 41% /dev/sd13c 8291791 5226683 2401765 69% /dev/sd14c 8291791 2775437 4853011 36% /dev/sd15c 8291791 3784629 3843819 50% ONE - 2GB (boot drive): (ahc0:0:0): "SEAGATE ST32151N 0530" type 0 fixed SCSI 2 sd0(ahc0:0:0): Direct-Access 2049MB (4197405 512 byte sectors) FOUR - 4GB (drives sd2c through sd5c): (ahc2:1:0): "SEAGATE ST15230N 0638" type 0 fixed SCSI 2 sd1(ahc2:1:0): Direct-Access 4095MB (8386733 512 byte sectors) ONE - 4GB (drive sd6c): (ahc2:6:0): "IBM OEM 0664CSH 6 5" type 0 fixed SCSI 2 sd6(ahc2:6:0): Direct-Access 3840MB (7866080 512 byte sectors) EIGHT - 9GB (drives sd8c through sd15c): (ahc1:1:0): "SEAGATE SX410800N 7109" type 0 fixed SCSI 2 sd13(ahc1:1:0): Direct-Access 8347MB (17096357 512 byte sectors) Regards, Tyler Barnett Lexmark International
