Well, I'm administering a box running FreeBSD 2.1.7 for our institute and the system is still running with a poor SMC Ethernet board. In the next few weeks we want to exchange the board against a PCI type and we need to obtain 10/100MBit ethernet boards. I can purchase on a cheap condition 3COM 3c90x XL combo-ethernetboards but I'm not sure whether this board type is supported by the kernel or not. If anybody has ideas, tips, hints or maybe solutions (patches??) please contact me under one of the following email addresses. Best wishes and many thanks in advance -- Gruss O.
