Believe me if there had been one we would have gotten it, the DOS-based
SMTP gateway is trash. However, we never found one and I highly doubt
you will in the future, since Microsoft has abandoned development on that
product in favor of Exchange server.

If you can get all your users up to the Win95 level, you can use
the Internet transport in the exchange client, you know. Also, even
if you cannot do that, Microsoft has POP3/SMTP e-mail now available for
free download from their web site for Windows 3.1 that nicely replaces
the old file-based Microsoft Mail client. There's also always Eudora
Lite, of course.
