Not anymore.  Both NetBSD and OpenBSD run with some success on most 040's
these days.  The biggest factor preventing it was the SCSI driver, which I
finally got around to fixing up so that it would work--someone should make
it faster, but I don't have the time.  I'm using a Q700 at home these days.

The internal ethernet still doesn't work, but that should be fixed soon.
