I am having a problem completing bootup with FreeBSD 2.1.6 (yes, I know
I need to upgrade to 2.1.7). The boot process hangs right after showing
on the screen the checking/initializing for device sc0 and the next
device to be checked/initialized is ed0. I can get it to work if I boot
in DOS and run the adapter's diagnostics, which say the card is fine,
and then do a warm boot. As long as I do warm boots after the DOS
diagnostics on the adapter card, booting FreeBSD goes fine. Once a cold
boot occurs, however, FreeBSD hangs.

This is a NE2000 compatible ethernet card. Is there anything I can do
with FreeBSD to remedy this situation?

Thanks.

Ken
