Some time ago, there was a discussion on the usage of ide
disks in native and translated modes. I wondered if someone
can post a summary of this. In particalur I want to know the
follwoing:
I ran the programm posted then that reports the geometry of
thje ide disk. This is done twice, one in normal operation and
once after resetting the controller.
This program reported the same geometries in both modes. Does
this mean that I can only use them in translated modes?
FYI: the disk are a quantum lpt120 and a seagate st3144a.
