	that solved the problem. Thanx!

	I should note, that I did NOT know there was a 3.01 in the
ports, and the 3.01 I had was grabbed from ftp.netscape.com (I didn't
look into the possibility of there being an actual difference). At any
rate I grabbed the 4.02 port "kit" and used that to grab Netscape
(read "navigator" ... read "communicator" ...).

	I should also point out that those who use the JDK for FreeBSD,
there are hazards in the order of your CLASSPATH when using Netscape
in conjunction with the JDK's JVMs.  When using the JDK's JVMs and
haing Netscapes classes first listed in your CLASSPATH you are
suddenly confined to the Netscape JVM SecurityManager settings.  In
the reverse situation, Netscape doesn't find its Browser classes,
among other things.  This problem can easily be circumvented by
editing the JDK scripts or shell varaibles/aliases.
