I seem to be setting the right stuff, but then my other end for ppp is slirp. I've never had ppp work right under the best of circumstances; I normally use CSLIP, but the installation process won't work with cslip. - Have other people successfully used FTP installation for a virgin installation, as opposed to an upgrade? - Has anybody used "slirp ppp" doing this? Also, the novice default of ending the install when the FTP fails is -really- dumb. It's quite predictable that FTPs will fail; it would be much better if it went back to the choose media screen so I don't need to re-specify the packages and so forth. Thanks. -- "Time Travel.
