You know, previous NCR product will be develop or even manufactured by Symbios Logic. To me, they are the same. Adaptec 2940UW is an Ultra-Wide product. I bought it last month but sold now. Because I bought one Symbios 53c875 (Asus SC875 UW-SCSI) Ultra Wide SCSI controller. Both provided same speed but Symbios is only less than half price of Adaptec! > > Can it be used in any PCI system or only ASUS ? I understand there is >a BIOS issue. As well explained by previous mail, you can simply find a Award bios mother board will support it. Now, I have both Asus SC200 and Asus SC875 controller in the PC. Since the SC875 has Boot-Rom, it can even manage the SC200. > > The OS would be FreeBSD. Is support for the ASUS SC200 in FreeBSD >decent, suitable for a robust, good performing system ?
