I would like to designate my newly acquired Canon MultiPass C2500 as a
networked multifunction device in a network with WFW 3.11 and FreeBSD 2.2
boxes. I have already gotten information from Canon's Fax Retrieval
System that only the printer function can be shared under WFW 3.11 or Win95
with their software.

As it stands now, the only option that is available is just hanging the
C2500 off a WFW 3.11 or Win95 machine and using the scanner and PC FAX
capabilities from that machine locally and exporting the printer as a
shared WFW resource and having the FreeBSD utilitize it from Samba as one
of the printers it emulates in MS-DOS mode.

On a similiar note, are there any successes with Canon's MultiPass
software and drivers under wine?
