i can install to ide hard disk and boot from floppy.
when i try and boot from harddisk, i get a panic in init
right after it tries to make wd0a root.
took out ethernet card and sound card in case
of interrupt problem, no luck. tried generic
ide controller card without any luck (instead of the
dtc eisa controller). disk parameters in CMOS match
those of disk (202 MB WD). disk has 2 partitions
a root and a swap. linux was on the disk and booted.
486/100 eisa sytem.

any ideas?
