I then tell it to do an upgrade and it says it cannot backup /etc and then it dies. I do not want to boot off a separate floppy of at all possible as the machines are not local to me and I don't want to go down where they are if at all possible. Is it possible to upgrade a running system without uising the floppy and without manual intervention? Thanks Chad
