roell@informatik.tu-muenchen.de (Thomas Roell) flamed Amancio for writing:
>>I am the author of XS3. Please send me your Xconfig and relax because
>>we fixed this bug for XFree86 and ported XFree86 to 386bsd.

While I have the utmost respect for Roell's contributions, I am saddened
that he chose to flame Amancio like that.

Amancio has contributed a lot to making X go under 386BSD. I exchanged
email with him several times in the process of getting X up and he
always gave detailed responses with amazingly short turnaround times.

And I do not believe he was trying to steal credit from anyone. In the
386BSD world, Amancio is *the* X windows expert, at least among those
actively posting. He created the executables almost everyone uses.
He posted to offer help to a guy who was having an X problem
*on 386BSD*. And that, I believe, is what he was trying to communicate --
that he was the guy to talk to to get the problem fixed.

So please, a little more kindness. We are all on the same team.
