Hello,

I down loaded all files from bin directory to floppies, as well as boot
floppy. I created the partitions required and started installing. The
message comes up saying that the distribution media I have chosen does
not possibly have the bin stuff.

1. Is it necessary to get root.flp file? I see that a previous freebsd
handbook says it is required, whereas the file itself is absent in 2.1.7
release.

2. I created freebsd\bin directory on DOS partition, and copied all files
from the floppies to that directory, and chose DOS partition as
installation media. Then also I got message saying that it was unable to
find the BIN files.

I created the boot floppy using rawwrite utility, and I am able to boot
with that floppy.

Am I missing something? Any help is greately appreciated.

Thanks,
Sreenath
