Yes, using completely different compiler technology. :)

2.1.5 came with gcc 2.6.3, and C++ support sucked in that version.
2.2 comes with gcc 2.7.2.1, which is what I used to compile tvision.  He
merely needs to upgrade to a more recent version of FreeBSD.
