The lines in /etc/ttys are: ... tty00 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" unknown secure tty01 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" unknown secure <option> ... where option are "rtscts" or "mdmbuf" or both or none, without the quotes. Well, I did not try the "local" option, maybe that would help? The Wyse terminal supports all kinds of handshaking: DTR/DSR(DCD), CTR/CTS and software type XON/XOFF, both or none. dmesg output says: [...] com0 at isa0 port 0x3f8-0x3ff irq 4: ns8250 or ns16450, no fifo com1 at isa0 port 0x2f8-0x2ff irq 3: ns8250 or ns16450, no fifo -cr -- Christoph Rimek, Kiel, Germany (+49 431 57601) chrimek@toppoint.de
