That's some nontrivial EM interference, so I figured generating it CAN'T be doing good things to my system. Everything runs fine, but, just after booting and probing stops, my radio starts registering interference pulses at about 3.75 Hz which continue until I reboot. These pulses are about the same volume as normal radio programs. I've also got Win95 on the machine, and I've never encountered anything like this (there's always boot-time interference, but then it stops). The interference is the same whether the radio is plugged into the same power bar/socket (as the computer) or not. It doesn't seem to be the monitor, speakers, mouse, or keyboard (cold booted with those disconnected from computer and power and got same result). I've got a P133 in a P/I-P55T2P4 motherboard, SB32, Matrox Milennium, CNet 650E Plus ethernet card, Toshiba XM-series 6X CD-ROM, 3.5" floppy drive, Quantum 3.2 GB Fireball and Western Digital 2.1 GB (both EIDE), and a Mag DX17T monitor. I've appended my boot messages to the end of this post (on the advice of another FreeBSD user) in case those are useful. The interference pulses start just after the last of these messages. Anyone have ANY idea what's going on? Thnks in advance. Paul Reitsma Copyright (c) 1992-1996 FreeBSD Inc. Copyright (c) 1982, 1986, 1989, 1991, 1993 The Regents of the University of California.
