I have been trying for ages with no luck, both with the GENERIC kernel and a custom one. I was under the impression from the freeBSD website docs that matcdc0 was the driver/controller to use. What gives? Help please. What do you mean "boot" ? I have installed FreeBSD with a Panasonic CR563 on an SB16 several times. Works just fine. You may have to adjust the I/O address (boot -c) depending on where you put it. Yes, matcd0 is the right name. -- Cheers, Dan Ts'o 212-327-7671 Dept. of Neurobiology FAX: 212-327-7671 The Rockefeller University 1230 York Ave. Box 138 dantso@cris.com New York, NY 10021 dan@dna.rockefeller.edu
