I did a "make world" which completed fine. However, ps, top, gated and networking did not work until a rebuilt a new kernel. Also, most programs that I installed, like joe, emacs, etc. all reported out of memory. Is that normal for a 2.1 to 2.2 upgrade? I recompiled the kernel and all was well except the make install. That reported a "syntax" error. However, it did boot the system. Now, while the network cards work, gated doesn't. It croaks with a sig 11. Also, top reports swap use at 121% and the output is garbled ($%%##@! oot 12*). Terminal sessions seem o.k. Am I required to recompile all my apps and ports to use 2.2-RELEASE? Or did I miss a step somewhere? Thanks, Craig -- Orbit Data Systems, Inc. Craig Shrimpton 400 Grove Street 508-753-8776 Worcester, MA 01605 http://www.os.com/
