Just wondering if there might be something like this around for FreeBSD.  I
don't like using X but I would like to be able to view images once in a while.
I have a vague memory of something like this existing for Linux, and I've
seen some noise about a boot-time "splash screen" displayer in the mailing
lists.  These seem to be plentiful for DOS so I can't imagine it would be
terribly hard to get one running under UNIX...
