Not very different than SLIP.  The interfaces are named `lp0'.  As
soon as you ifconfig them, these lines will enter PLIP mode, and will
be made unavailable to the normal line printer driver.

Section 2.10 of the FAQ describes the cable (it's also on top of
/sys/i386/isa/lpt.c).
