Been there. You have inappropriate special file for psm0 in /dev -- need to remove it and recreate with another minor No., it should be 0 instead of default 2, as far as I recall). 4. Ok, now your XFree86 default setup, which uses moused-powered /dev/sysmouse, will Just Work. 5. You drink beer enjoing both mouse cut-n-paste in text mode and functional mouse in X. :-))) > The PS/2 stuff seems pretty solid in 2.2 ! Gmm. I'll try 2.2.1 RSN, but I've seen weird things a bit earlier -- don't know yet was it software bug or that damn f...y old Packard Bell 486 box laughed on me. What do I mean... ever tried to occasionally pull away PS/2 mouse' cord a while before rebooting with psm0 enabled? (I got a serious panic+crash immediately after moused attempted to grab /dev/psm0, with severe filesystems damage). P.S. It's time to all good men to learn how to debug FreeBSD kernel! :-) > -- > Brian <brian@awfulhak.demon.co.uk> <brian@freebsd.org> > <http://www.awfulhak.demon.co.uk> > Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour ! > > Best regards, Andrew Stesin nic-hdl: ST73-RIPE
