Well, the last week has seen a couple of "after-releases",
2.1.7.1 and 2.2.1,just as we thought the 2.1.x branch had finally
finished and 2.2 finally brought to release status...

obviously 2.1.7.1,unlike 2.1.6.1,came too late to make the CDROM
version...I note that this further upgrade is recommended for
news servers(and I think my news server would be easier to
upgrade than my mail/WWW/DNS server,which has a recompiled-for-long-UIDs
kernel that would have to be recreated).(Currently both machines run
2.1.0).(My current SCSI adapter is a BusLogic, though, not an Adaptec
as was the center of the bugfixes for 2.1.7.1).

2.2.1,however,comes more quickly on the heels of 2.2R than did
2.2Beta and some 2.2Gammas on their predecessors...will the next CDROM
release in fact be 2.2.1 and not 2.2.0?
