But rivalry is beneficial, and competition drives the mind and spirit. Neither side does anything like the bashing of MacOS by Microsoft people. Mac folks equally seem to hate MS as much as free OS supporters. So even if the rhetoric grows acerbic, and undirected at a common enemy, it should be seen as better natured than other flame wars.
