Just a thought: you *have* tried to "press any key" on the terminal, havent
you?
A few presses on the return key (not the enter key if this is separate on this
Wyse terminal) should get you in touh with the login prompt if everything is
okay.
If not, connect a serial breakout-box between terminal and machine and check
for traffic and correct signals.
