Try as I might, I could not get the "upgrade" installation to work!
I upgraded my system from 2.1.7 to 2.2 by FTPing the sources and
compiling the system and the kernel.  Just got done about 15 minutes ago
and so far all is well.

I even got my IDE CDROM working on the second interface.   :)
