Run on anything other than i386 family/alpha platforms. Even then, no one in his/her right mind would use NT for alpha. One can run versions of UNIX on everything from a cruddy little 386, up to a supercomputer. The bottom line is, UNIX is scalable, and Microsoft is not. There are also the problems associated with tying oneself down to one vendor. If Microsoft manages to kill everything else, do you think you'll be able to do anything on your computer without Bill Gate's stamp of approval? Hell no. Every time you use a Microsoft product, you are supporting a technological dictatorship. -- Gary
