Also, in case of the various BSD's, the ability to embed the
code into product without adding any encumberances to your own
code, modifications or additions.  All of the free U**X clones
don't encur any monetary redistribution costs.  (NT appears to
cost approx $200-$300 per copy.)

Almost all of the X86 free U**X clones also appear to manage
memory better and have lower overheads than NT.
