As i understand it, by default /dev/console is off in /etc/ttys, so
everything that would go to console goes instead to v0, which i guess
is your de facto console. I think that this would be the desired
effect; if you don't want things going to it, you might want to try
fiddling with your syslog.conf.

You should install the xview-config and xview-lib ports first, then
install olvwm (if that's what you want).

I'm not sure... man 5 termcap? ;) If you want to see what a
particular key echoes, try hitting Ctrl-V and then the key (e.g.,
F1). Note that it echoes different things depending on your terminal
setting.
