I hate to drone on, but this is typical of BT !  Sh*t, they
piss me off.

The #300/qtr was the only price they quoted me.  When I said
that this was unreasonable and I'd have a normal line, they
asked me what for and tried to sell me a modem.  They then
proceeded to install a phone line that did't function
properly.  "You never said it was for a modem Mister Somers"
[SNIP] - I've told this story before on usenet !
