Given reality and enough interested/capable people, I'm perfectly happy
to have an F-team, N-team, and O-team all hacking at the *BSD development,
with an L-team for perspective.  Every project goes though cycles of rapid
development, stagnation, personality issues and bogged-down-in-the-hard-part.
Multiple paths and competition assures that some externally visible progress
continues.

After all, if it wasnt't for fragmentation throughout unix development,
there'd be no *BSD and we'd still be running something close to
unix-what-came-out-of-bell-labs and there'd be a hell of a lot less
people with source access...
