Given reality and enough interested/capable people, I'm perfectly happy to have an F-team, N-team, and O-team all hacking at the *BSD development, with an L-team for perspective. Every project goes though cycles of rapid development, stagnation, personality issues and bogged-down-in-the-hard-part. Multiple paths and competition assures that some externally visible progress continues. After all, if it wasnt't for fragmentation throughout unix development, there'd be no *BSD and we'd still be running something close to unix-what-came-out-of-bell-labs and there'd be a hell of a lot less people with source access... -- George Robbins - not working for, work: to be avoided at all costs... but still emotionally attached to: web: http://www.netaxs.com/people/grr Commodore, Engineering Department domain: grr@tharsis.com
