I tried to slip with a friend who also has a BSD386 system. We used the standard serial lines (com driver) with a modem. We ifconfig'ed the sl0 interface, and then called the other side with kermit (from /usr/othersrc/public/kermit-5a). Used slattach. But if we try to ping each other, we see the modem leds flicker, but the messages are not received. (100% packet loss) we both had the terry's patchkit (#18 & #19) installed.. maybe one out there knows whats going wrong....
