That's impossible. :-)  The extended partitions are mounted at the end
of "primary partition" space (that being wd0s1-wd0s4) and have been for
as long as I can recall.  You sure this wasn't a primary partition?  You
should be able to find a secondary at wd0s5 (if you have the appropriate
entries in /dev of course - do a (cd /dev; sh MAKEDEV wd0s5a) first).
