I received some nice help via email to my latest problem with ps not running with -aux anymore after I put in a Cyrix NDP recently (it died with Floating Point exception.) I found the patch in Terry's patchkit (patch 36), applied it, and rebuilt ps. I also rebuilt libutil.a, as was suggested by Andrew Moore (alm@netcom.com). He also suggested I needed to remake some mk_db something or other (there's a 'database' file that gets built during booting(?) some- where in the filesystem. I've seen it before, but don't remember now the path for it. I am at a loss to understand how to rebuild this file, should I need to. BTW, ps -aux works now. -- David Fox dfox@quack.sac.ca.us
