For me, the limit seems to be 1028Mb, but recently I've heard
of someone with a 504Mb limit.
Now wouldn't it be funny if the problem was with partitions that
are marginally above a threshold where the cluster size changes
- ie. the cluster size calculation in the FreeBSD MSDOSFS code
didn't work.
I may look at this some time - although it would be a shame to
waste my time if the VFATFS code comes along suddenly....
